Motion Sites

A motion site opens on a moving scene. As the visitor scrolls, the page travels from one scene to the next. The normal sections of a business website follow: your offer, how to visit or book, and contact. Visitors who turn off motion in their device settings see the scenes as still images with their text.

The motion templates

Two of the eight templates are motion sites: Brewery & Beer Garden and Coffee Roastery. They come first under Start from a template and carry a Motion mark. Their cards play a short muted loop.

Every plan can open their full preview and scroll through the animation.

Start from a motion template

Starting from a motion template is part of Pro.

  1. Click New website.
  2. Under Start from a template, find Brewery & Beer Garden or Coffee Roastery.
  3. Choose Use template on the card. You can open the preview first and choose it there.
  4. Describe your business as you would for any other website.

The template is the starting structure. Your brief, assets and references still shape the result. See Start from a template.

On Free the card carries a Pro badge and Use template shows a lock. It explains that the template is part of Pro and offers Upgrade to Pro. Every other template starts as usual.

Have the Vivd team build it

You can ask the Vivd team to build a website like a motion template for your business.

  1. Click New website.
  2. Under Start from a template, find Brewery & Beer Garden or Coffee Roastery.
  3. Choose Have one built for you under the card. Or open the preview and choose Ask the Vivd team.
  4. Write what your business does and what the site should show, and send it.

The Vivd team replies by email to your account’s address and talks it through with you. Every plan can send the request. It is shown only where a support address is configured.

Edit a motion site

A website started from a motion template is edited in Studio like any other:

  • Change texts and pictures in the preview, in Content, or by asking Vivd.
  • Ask Vivd to change a scene or to replace a single clip. A new clip asks for your Allow first and costs Credits, like every video clip.
  • Add pages, forms and everything else a Vivd website can have.
  • Publish when you are ready.

Animation on other websites

Vivd can add animation to any website in Studio, such as page transitions or content that appears as you scroll. Video clips are part of Pro. Each clip asks for your Allow first and costs Credits.
