Newsletter / Waitlist

The Newsletter / Waitlist plugin is for websites that need email signup, waitlist capture, and simple campaign sends from inside Vivd.

On hosted Vivd, Pro includes one license for this plugin. Open it from your site’s Plugins page and choose Upgrade to Pro or Enable on this site. If all licenses are in use, buy another license or release one from another site. Organization members should ask their owner or admin. See plugin access.

Enabling the license does not add a form to your pages. Configure it below, then ask Vivd in Studio to add the form and publish the changes.

What to configure

  • Enable the Newsletter / Waitlist plugin for your website.
  • Choose newsletter or waitlist mode.
  • Ask Vivd to add the signup form and set up your email look. Signups always require confirmation by email.
  • Review the subscriber list, status filters, and campaign drafts before launch.
  • Use the generated snippet or vivd plugins snippets newsletter [html|astro] instead of rebuilding the signup form manually.

Match emails to your website

Newsletter emails use your website’s email look, the same one your form and booking emails use: see How your emails look. Ask Vivd in Studio: “Make our emails look like the website, in German, and send a test confirmation to me at [your email address].”

The visible sender name is your website’s name, and replies go to the reply address of the email look. Use a PNG or JPEG logo at a permanent public HTTPS address. System text is available in German and English; campaign subjects and bodies use the text you write.

A test confirmation email is marked [Test] and does not create a subscriber. Its button is inactive. Check your inbox to see that it arrived and how it looks. To check the real signup, use the published signup form, open the confirmation link in the email you receive, and ask Vivd to check the subscriber’s status. A test campaign can also be sent from a saved campaign draft.

  1. Submit a real test signup from the published page.
  2. Confirm that the opt-in email arrives and the confirmation link updates the subscriber state.
  3. Send a test campaign to an internal recipient before queueing a real send.
  4. Re-check the subscriber filters and unsubscribe flow after publishing.

Deliverability cues

  • Use a real sender identity configured for the deployment.
  • Keep the first campaign small and verify unsubscribe links before sending broadly.
